 摘 要: 中国和英国因国情和历史传统等不同,在教育制度与理念上存在着不少的差异。英国实行十二年义务教
育制度,而且在初级中等教育阶段就开始分设普通中等教育与职业教育;中国实行九年义务教育制度,义务教育结
束后才可以选择接受普通高级中等教育或职业教育。英国的教学以学生实践为主,注重个性培养,提倡应用能力;
中国的教学以传授为主,注重基础知识的积累及其运用。中英两国教育虽然在理念和现实教育体制上有不少差别,
但目标都是要完善个人发展并服务社会,我们可以向英国取长补短,进一步深化教育改革。
Abstract:
 Abstract:Because of the different national traditions and historical backgrounds, educational systems and
ideologies are different in China and Britain. The duration of compulsory education in Britain is 12 years while in
China it is 9 years. In the vocational education respect, people can choose vocational education from the beginning
of the secondary education, but people must do it after they graduate from junior high school in China. The
primary teaching method in Britain is practice while in China lecturing dominates the class. In Britain, people’s
personalities and application of theories are emphasized, while in China, the emphasis is put on the accumulation
and application of basic knowledge. Though there are many differences in education between the two countries,
the same goal of them is to promote every citizen’s personality and to encourage people to serve the society. We
could learn from Britain and enforce the educational reform in China.
